Pskem HPP will be located on the Pskem River in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, is set to become the second largest in Uzbekistan after the Charvak HPP and one of the largest in the region.
Its capacity will be 404 MW and the average annual output of electricity will amount to 900 million kWh. The total cost of the project will exceed $800 million, most of which is invested by Uzbekistan itself in addition to $240 million of credit funds from the Chinese Eximbank.
The total number of HPP projects to be realized in 2019-2023 – 32 (18-new construction projects; 14 – modernisation projects).
